A fish’s physiology allows him/her to recognize many other fish and associate with them as such. There is even evidence of fish sacrificing themselves for the life of another. I would suggest that you educate yourself.

Second, it's called satire. (However, the underlying physiology is an interesting question, which has been settled.)

I might add, like we spoke about previously, PETA’s advertisement is trying to have this effect: to counter the message presented to our children by big business, our parents, and children’s books about nonhuman animals existing in their idyllic lives awaiting their turn on our plates. So again, if one message can be challenged, the same challenge, unless you can defend it, must be leveled against the initial message.

PETA uses the same tactics in this ad as every meat producers ever has. If I have accidently moderated a comment of yours as “spam,” it was a mistake. Indeed, there are two comments on the thread we were having a discussion on awaiting your response. I have enjoyed very much articulating my arguments proving that your single-sentence answers are not “answers” at all (because you don't have answers?).

About PETA, here is their logic:

“If children were taught to refer to fish as "sea kittens," reflecting that fish, like cats and dogs, are "individuals" that "do have friendships," fewer fish might be killed for food or sport, said Pulin Modi, a PETA spokesman.

"We want people to realize that more fish are killed each year than all animals combined," he said. "They don't have the sympathy of more popular animals like cats and dogs."

Perhaps the logic is incorrect, but you, of course, don’t challenge it. You merely assume it and attack.

The "biology is wrong proving PETA’s argument folly" claim is dubious:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/2983045.stm

http://www.fishinghurts.com/FishFeelPain.asp

Fish are far more complicated than we assume: they suffer, for example. Challenge their argument and premises; ad homonym's are childish and are used when our assumptions are proven baseless. That is the primary point.

I noticed you still haven’t corrected the lie about PETA supporting terrorism.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6128643220897267519.post-75383134162032278012009-01-15T08:25:00.000-05:002009-01-15T08:25:00.000-05:00Yeah, but it is merely because I disagreedsure, I ...Yeah, but it is merely because I disagreed
sure, I answered in one sentence answers, but they answered completlyBargahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13267934390167096150noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6128643220897267519.post-87909527466480748282009-01-14T12:43:00.000-05:002009-01-14T12:43:00.000-05:00Sometimes you have to moderate comments, but i try...Sometimes you have to moderate comments, but i try to avoid it if at all possible.
